model of freedom

Encarar a literatura a partir dessa perspectiva nos leva, necessariamente, a uma prática da inventividade própria das letras e palavras escritas, possibilitando uma livre experimentação da textura tipográfica. A aventura narrativa estará então atrelada a essa forma de pensamento e sentimento, que diferencia-se muito das imagens cinematográficas. O surgimento do cinema e das cada vez mais múltiplas tecnologias, suportes e mídias, contribuem mais do que nunca para o caráter a princípio inoperante do romance no papel, e por isso mesmo para o seu caráter cujo gesto revela algo inerentemente inaugural. Uma vontade produtiva de autoria, pois articula nas entrelinhas, na sintaxe, uma formulação de mundo ainda por vir. Mais repetição e menos novidade, o cinema, como Calvino mesmo relata. E mais variação de modulações possíveis na narração literária.
